1000 drawings is series of small blind contour drawings made from objects from my travels, and in my space.
They are simple gestures filled with colour and line.
They took 5 months to make.
I am interested in the obsessive quality of making that doing 1000 drawings requires.
I am interested in how the process is different to digital works, and yet requires
the same attention to repeititon and production.
I am interested in making 1000 drawings because it is absurd in only the way art can be; imbued with meaning.
Each drawing is approximately 2.75" x 4 made of ink and watercolour.
